The International Digital Health & Artificial Intelligence Research Collaborative (I-DAIR) is a new international, multi-stakeholder and distributed platform for the inclusive, impactful and responsible R&D of digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) for health. Inspired by the recommendations of the UNSG’s High-level Panel on Digital Cooperation, I-DAIR’s work is rooted in multilateralism – in health and science collaboration, with the goal to federate a transdisciplinary scientific community around a shared research agenda and facilitate access to digital health and AI innovations for clinical researchers, policy makers and patients around the world. I-DAIR can be understood as a “distributed CERN for AI and digital health”, where digital transformation is seen as an enabler to achieve universal health coverage (UHC) and Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3) for the promotion of healthy lives.
