Juan Manuel Cordovez is the Vice-dean of Research and Innovation of the school of engineering, director of the Bio-mathematical research laboratory (BIOMAC) at Los Andes University, and Associate professor of the Department of Biomedical Engineering. He is particularly interested in the eco-epidemiology of infectious diseases, mathematical modeling of physiological systems, and the use of dynamical systems to understand biological phenomena.
Juan Manuel is a civil engineer, and biologist from Universidad de los Andes with master and doctoral degrees in biomedical engineering from The State University of New York at Stony Brook.
