The role of data and technology has been pivotal in boosting innovation to create large scale impact. Through various technologies, organizations have been able to improve productivity, increase the overall effectiveness through better collaboration, and extend services to new communities in need. According to official statistics, there are over 3.4 million non-profit organisations (NGOs) operating in India. But this sector has also been reticent in adopting new technologies and solutions. Through this closed-door session, we hope to draw upon insights from leaders working within the ecosystem, on understanding the current gaps and ways to most efficiency use technology systems to improve organizational capacities.
Some questions we hope to address:
- How can we build awareness on the various data & tech solutions available, for organizations working with the most marginalized communities?
- What are some of the key challenges and opportunities with the introduction and integration of data solutions, towards transforming and strengthening the social sector?
- The need for humanitarian and development action has never been greater with the impact of the pandemic globally. What are funding gaps in the Data and Tech solutions space that need to be addressed to strengthen the ecosystem?
